Meet the narrator of the new Lichgates audiobook (and find out how to get a copy!)

Over the last few months, I’ve experienced one of the coolest things an author can experience and I can’t wait to share it with you. Lichgates (Grimoire Saga #1) has been made into a phenomenal audiobook with the help of a talented audiobook producer. (Who happens to share a name with the main character, Kara!)

Yes. You read that right. In the search for the perfect voice to lend a voice to my main character, Kara Magari and the other characters in the Grimoire Saga, I found a wonderful voice artist who happened to have the same first name. Fun, right?

I decided to do a short interview with her to give you a little preview of her beautiful voice and to introduce you to the book in audio format. In the audio recording below, you’ll hear Kara Kovacich Stewart answer three fun questions AND a 5 minute sample of Lichgates, the audiobook.

Book Description

Lichgates Audiobook Cover SmallLichgates (Grimoire Saga #1)

When Kara Magari uncovers a secret door in the middle of the forest, she discovers (and trips through) a portal to a hidden world full of terrifying things: Ourea. She just wants to go home, but the natives have other plans for her. She clashes with immortal shapeshifters, is carried off by a dragon, nearly dies on several occasions, and somehow becomes the master of an ancient book of magic called the Grimoire. Every time she thinks she’s safe, her new “friends” show their true colors.

Kara needs an ally, or she might not survive Ourea’s monsters. She drops her guard when Braeden, a native soldier with a dark secret, vows to keep her safe. And though she doesn’t know it, her growing attraction to him may just be her undoing.

For 12 years, Braeden Drakonin has lived a lie. The Grimoire is his one chance at redemption, and it lands in his lap when Kara Magari comes into his life. Though he begins to care for this stranded girl, there’s something he wants more. He wants the Grimoire.

Welcome to Ourea, where only the cunning survive.

Kara Kovacich Stewart’s Bio

kara-web-imageA long-time fan of animation, Kara has always had an interest in voice acting. A Wisconsin native, her family moved aboard a sailboat and cruised the Bahamas for two years before she went to college for a Bachelor’s degree in Media Arts and Animation in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. After college, she found herself back in the Midwest, got involved in community theater, and dreamed of oceans, cartoons, and adventure. When a job in California opened up with only a week to move herself across the country, she didn’t hesitate to drop everything and GO! Being near Los Angeles provided the opportunity to explore voice acting, which led to audio book narration, which in turn led her through a Lichgate and into the world of Ourea.
